Well, it has been a few months since this blog has been updated, as I believe Joel has kinda forgotten about it.
I have been super busy with work and snake stuff, Joel has been busy with work, as his schedule has changed.
We have kinda odd times that we see each other now, and we are both getting used to it.
Plus since it is summer, there is a crap ton of things to do every weekend, so somethings, like this blog, fall to the wayside.
Kona and Regal, aka Smooshface and Fuzz, are both doing well, and sleeping at my feet as I type this.
Joel and I have recently been to a casting call for a wedding show, but I truly believe that we are not the type of couple they were looking for. We are too compatible, and of course, television thrives on drama, which we didn't bring to the table.
We shall see, however, in the next few weeks.
Oh, living in LA...
We have been planning a lot of the wedding stuff, and since it will be a while until we need things settled, we are actually taking somewhat of a break from things.
I have not opened up a bridal magazine in a week.
Wow.
Too many other things going on...
So, yeah. That's whats going on for us as of right now.
Hopefully this will be updated sooner rather than later, and I will remind Joel that he is also supposed to be doing these blogs with me...
Oh well.
Love to you all out there!

It's Joels Birthday
I admit, I have not been too active on this blog, as I was hoping that Joel would take the reins so to speak, and enjoy blogging as much as I do.
The problem is, he doesn't do it frequently, which I suppose is alright.
And today, he doesn't have to.
Today, it is his day. It is his birthday, and he is allowed to do whatever he likes.
So I am coming on the blog to say, Happy Birthday, Joel.
I love you.

Today was a good day!
I know it's been about a minute. Lot has been experienced since we last met.
First things first... A big congrats on graduating law school to Aaron Jones Wong AKA "Shotime". The trip to Virginia & D.C treated me well. Can't wait to make another visit & spend some real time to tear up the streets of the district. Had a awesome time even though we didn't have much time to do any touristy type stuff.
Happy 1st B-day to Luke Stephenson, son of Heather's best-friend. Thanks for showing us around Virginia Luke! Thank you Alex & Christina for the hospitality!
Thank you American Airlines & Delta for getting us across the country safely & for not screwing up delivering our checked baggage!
Happy B-day Fiddle Little. Don't worry man next time we roll into Buffalo Wild Wings I'ma destroy that Blazzin" challenge in world record time.
Lakers take game 1 in the Finals, nothing surprising there. Big game for the Mamba, great defense from Ron-Ron, Pau, Fish & Lamar coming through with some offense. Bynum take care of that knee.
Busy weekend ahead. Gotta hot date tomorrow with mah lady. Fill you in with the details manana.

So fresh & so clean, clean!
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers and mothers to be! Hope everyone had a enjoyable & safe weekend. Monday morning soon to come and it's back to the grind.
Tomorrow represents a re-birth of sorts. First day at work with a new crew & environment. Feels kinda of like high school when you return for the following year. You know very well the drill & story of how it's all supposed to flow. Show up on time, mind your own business, size-up the new personalities, and try not to screw-up new names. No doubt it'll be a fresh beginning, & a clean slate, but you can never deny the anticipation of turning the page of life. It's a new chapter to be written in a live story of intersecting purposes. A never pausing screenplay always delivering a spectrum of emotions & effect.
For now I wait till 9.00 Mon morning to report for duty & to accept my assignment. Gonna grab some ZZZZ's.
Be back in 24. I'm out!

Happy Early Mothers Day!
To all the Mothers out there, Happy Mother's Day.
Sunday is not quite here, but I have to say, its a good day to celebrate Mothers.
It's a good day every day, but since this is the day delegated for them, why not celebrate???
I'm not a Mother yet, but I can always see the hard work, dedication and love that is involved (or should be involved) in being a parent.
Looks like it would be a very fulfilling and gratifying and frustrating and wonderful job.
But I can wait.
I can enjoy my Zoo and my fuzzeses and my Joel for now.
I've been having somewhat of a writers block over the past week, and I haven't contributed as much as I should have. Joel has been writing more than me (which is suprising, considering this was my idea).
So, I am trying. I've been sick, been busy and been tired. That's enough of an excuse, right?
Of course it is.
This weekend we will spend it with family and Joel's Mother, and it will be good.
Can't wait!!!

What a difference a day makes
Today, a much more tolerable day then the one before, was much needed. Yesterday things just weren't rolling my way, difficult "situations" to manage at work, lunch orders gone wrong, (I was pretty hungry) getting cut-off by, lets call them... "IQ-deficient" drivers and then... stepping in gum, was just a sample of my days challenges. After driving home from the "415" Sunday evening, I really was lacking in the energy dept, so customer service was out on vacation so my patience and tolerance fuse was uncharacteristically short. The weekend hanging out with the Smoj was calm, refreshing and very productive, but had there ever been a "case of the Mondays", May 3rd 2010 was the one to circle on the calendar.
Today, the day before Cinco de Mayo (for those misinformed Sept 16th is Mexico's National Day of Independence NOT May 5th) brought a more relaxing enjoyable day. After a slower than usual day at work, I had the chance to stop by my pop's place to drop by a gift-project I had been planning to complete for quite a while now. I had both my undergrad & graduate degrees & corresponding tassels matted & framed to be displayed in his office at work.
Without the financial support & constant influence of the importance of continuing my education past high school, I realized that it would not have only been extremely difficult, but it would have been highly unlikely that I would have achieved such accolades. My father never had the same opportunity he provided me growing up. I remembered for years hearing of his own personal plans to someday return to school, hoping to attend night classes after a full days work to finally attain credentials many of his co-workers and colleagues share. Now he no longer has to worry about filling-up wall space in his office with other framed "art-decorations". We now share a symbol of academic qualifications that I know he deserves more than myself. During every lecture I sat in, through every book I griped reading through, during every exam & test I either passed or failed, I know my father was with me every step of the way. Hope the decor enhancers look great at the office dad!
No personal plans really are set for Cinco de Mayo which is a rather unobserved & typical day in Mexico really left uncelebrated outside the state of Puebla. At least the U.S. gives us Latinos a decent excuse to wear a sombrero, barbecue some carne asada & throw back a few cold Coronas for no good reason, I think I speak for all "mi gente"... we'll take it =)
Just don't drink & drive! It's not responsible & you know they'll be checkpoints.

Coming to a close
Tying up loose ends at work always feels awkward. Today I broke the news the rest of my team members at work that I will be leaving indefinitely in about a week. Some were surprised to hear that I was leaving, others saddened to know their friend would be less a part of their daily routine.
My experiences at "the Clinic" always brought me new challenges on a weekly basis, I worked great with my supervising physician. He is more of a mentor and a teacher rather than a boss. I felt my patients had great confidence and reassurance in my ability to care for their illnesses and concerns. There was always a friendly and nonthreatening environment felt at the clinic, which I can only wish my next location of employment shares similarities too.
Luckily I will be traveling no further than I already am, but now my commute will be against the flow of traffic, maybe allowing to shave off 30 minutes behind the wheel everyday. Can't be mad at that! Better benefits, paid vacations and new connections now await. First day of training, May 10th 2010. Almost feels like a rebirth of sorts. I'm excited, getting prepped and can hardly wait.
This time tomorrow I will be somewhere on the I-5 fwy hopefully more than halfway towards the "415".
Be back in 72. I'm out. GO LAKERS!

Picture Time
Joel and I have been going thru our pictures that we have together and making a photo album. What is interesting to note is that there are more pictures of the Fuzz than there are of our family.
I have pictures of my family, and Joel has a few pics of his, but we don't have many.
This needs to be remedied, and I hope to get that done soon. With many family events occurring in the near future, I hope to be able to get more soon. I need to break out my camera more often, it seems.
We have more pictures of snakes than we do of ourselves.
How sad.
Anyway, Joel is going to make a conscious effort to actually blog on here, and I was shocked to see that he did last night. I was asleep, actually, when he did it.
FANTASTIC.
Less pressure on me to get this thing going.
So, family and friends out there, next time we see each other, know that we are going to be trying to take pictures together. I want to have more proof that you are and have been in our lives.
And yes, it was hilarious.
Joel's First Blog
So I think I just figured out how to post my first blog. I'm never up-to-date or on time with these social comm things but I hope to write alot of current event stuff when I can.
Well, today marks exactly a year and a half at my current job. It's too bad I'm leaving in about 10 days, they should've realized what they had. But whatever, on to new beginnings a fresh start, and more money! I bet Heather likes that last part especially =)
H & I will be headed out to San Fran this weekend to visit the Smoj. Thanks to Lou (Yes that's how I'm gonna spell it) & Jammin (That "is" the way you spell that one) for manning the hacienda and baby sitting the fuzzeseses. They are gonna get spoiled beyond belief. Jammin leave my snickers stash alone & Lou, I keeping count of the jelly bellies.
I'd like to say congrats to my Cuz Sasha & Ceasar on their engagement. I think we all know who is next in line.

Welcome to Joel and Heather's Blog
So welcome to Joel and Heather's Blog.
I'm Heather, and I'll be blogging for us for the most part.
I do another blog for my snake business, but this one is going to be different.
Joel and I are going to be progressing in life together, and I thought this may be a fun way to show people what is going on.
This will be more of a photo essay of our lives together.
Hopefully Joel will jump in and do a few blogs too.
